How we compare gold coin prices

Every 4 hours we check gold coin listings on Amazon, Flipkart, Tata Cliq and Myntra, match the same coin across stores (by brand, purity, weight and design), and compare each price to the value of the gold inside it.

Gold value

Gold value = weight × purity × the jeweller's 24K rate per gram, plus 3% GST. Today we use the Kalyan Jewellers rate of ₹15,530/g; you can switch to other jewellers' rates on the home page.

Over gold value

This is how much more than the gold value you pay, as a percentage. It lets you compare a 1g coin with a 10g coin, or 24K with 22K, on equal terms. Under 2.5% is a great price; 2.5–7% is fair; above 7% is a high premium.

Freshness and accuracy

Each price shows when it was last checked. If a store couldn't be reached, we keep its last prices for up to 3 days and label them as older; after that we drop them. Listings priced far below gold value are almost always the wrong weight or a mismatched product, so we hide them.

How we make money

Some store links are affiliate links: if you buy, the store may pay us a small commission. You pay the same price. It never affects the ranking — coins are always sorted by price and premium.
